Text Box: As most of you are aware, the business of Boone’s Trace Property Owners Association is being placed gradually in control of the property owners.  

As part of this transition effort from Boone’s Trace LLC to the owners, the first order of business by the Board of Directors was to select a property management company.  Several companies were interviewed, and Ed Maggard and Associates was selected.  This was put in place on January 1, 2005.

The next order of business was the selection of Robert Ryan as the attorney for the Association.  Robert, a resident here at Boone’s Trace, assumed responsibilities as attorney for the Board on March 1, 2005.  The legal and property management functions are now in place, and the Board has adopted a committee structure for property owner input and involvement during the transition phase.

The Board has sanctioned the following committees:

Covenants and Restriction
Budget and Finance
Strategic Directions
Political Action
Civic/Social

These committees will work with and through the Board of Directors of BTPOA, the property management company, and Robert Ryan, relative to association business specific with each committee.

At this time, the Board is asking for volunteers to serve on these committees.  The Board will then formulate the members of each committee from the slate of owners wishing to serve.  Any property owner willing to volunteer service should contact the Sales Office or Robert Ryan prior to April 30th.  The committees will be put in place in May of this year.  The June newsletter will advise the Association of the committee members.

This entire process, from the Fall 2004 selection of the property manager, to the 2005 legal and committee formulation, is to allow for a structured and smooth transition in the handling of present and future business of BTPOA.
